Identifying the issues around personal behaviours and mindset, we support students in identifying and electing positive strategies of response to negative thoughts, relationships and situations.
Focusing on various core aspects of wellbeing, we discuss with students the interplay between change and their experience of stress through reflection on how we manage change to be used for growth within their lives.
Through a combination of group work, personal reflection, role plays and in depth discussion, students will be able to share, discuss and question with their peers, sourcing methods of minimising their own stress whilst recognising support structures in their lives. Drawing from the room we will discuss:
How our strengths impact our stress response
Assisting students to recognise how their personal strengths can influence how they respond to stressors in their world- from academic work to extra-curricular activities, job demands and navigating friendships.
Identifying triggers to stress
Through honest reflection students will identify what are the key stressors in their daily life and consider how they personally respond in the moment.
Sharing positive coping techniques
Understanding many natural responses to stress and anxiety rely on negative behaviours and choices, we will work with students to assess a breadth of reactions to uncertainty with an emphasis on the greater impact of positive responses.
Plan for best actions to assist students in proactive planning
Allowing students to compile their thinking, we will bring together discussion and consideration of what may be for their next steps and focus on the career process as a series of change rather than a linear process.
